An excellent course that qualifies you to teach CPR and first aid to others so they’re prepared in an emergency.
It’s great to be able to give first aid or CPR to people in an emergency situation. You never know when you might need to – both in and out of the water. But it’s even more rewarding to be able to teach these skills to people. To enrol on our Emergency First Response Instructor course, you’ll need your Emergency First Response certification. It’s a course for divers and non-divers, which gives you the tools you need to perform CPR and First Aid, as well as handle potentially life-threatening situations.
Teaching people the skills to save lives is a big responsibility. But you’re in very safe hands with Ocean College. With our Emergency First Response Instructor course you get the best tuition in the business. We take you through the course step by step, building on the skills you learnt during your Emergency First Response course, but the focus will shift to developing your abilities to teach these skills. The course is relaxed with lots of hand-on skills practise sessions and scenario-based learning experiences.
The Emergency First Response Instructor course is split into two parts – Emergency First Response Primary/Secondary Care for adults and Emergency First Response Care for Children. It focuses on specific goals and performance requirements, teaching you how to structure learning, the requirements of performance-based training and your role as an instructor teaching CRP and First Aid. You’ll also tick off things like motivating students, evaluating their progress and how to present the Emergency First Response course effectively. And when you get your certification, you’ll ready to hit the ground running and teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) courses.
